WNP is dedicated to improving career pathways and employment outcomes for neurodistinct individuals. They developed the Career Coaching Support Program (CCSP) to provide financial assistance for personalized coaching from neuro-affirming coaches who can strengthen skills and self-advocacy, fostering growth and success in the workplace for neurodistinct individuals. As a CCSP partner, we provide employment related coaching to help people identify strengths and interests, refine professional skills, support and improve executive function and navigate the job market with confidence. Employment Coaching Services Include:
Seeking Employment:
Career Development: Identifying career interests and goals, exploring potential career paths and opportunities, developing an employment plan.
Skill Enhancement: Identifying available training/workshop/program options for improving job-specific skills and competencies, enhancing technical skills, or developing soft skills.
Job Search Strategies: Crafting effective resumes and cover letters, building and optimizing LinkedIn profiles, job search techniques, networking strategies, applying and following up.
Interview Preparation: Interview practice, mock interviews, developing responses to common interview questions.
Advocacy and Self-Advocacy: Understanding accommodations and support, understanding rights and resources available in the workplace.
Maintaining Employment:
Workplace Integration: Assistance identifying and understanding workplace culture and dynamics, developing strategies for effective collaboration and communication, managing workplace stress and time management.
Professional Growth: Setting and achieving performance goals, seeking and utilizing feedback for improvement, identifying continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Navigating Workplace Challenges: Addressing workplace conflicts and issues, problem-solving through current workplace challenges.
Work-Life Balance Strategies: Setting boundaries, managing time effectively, reducing burnout and enhancing overall well-being.
Advocacy and Self-Advocacy: Understanding accommodations and support, understanding rights and resources available in the workplace.
Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for Washington Neurodiversity Project funding, individuals must:
Reside in Washington State.
Be 18 years of age or older.
Seek coaching services that align with the Washington Neurodiversity Project.
Have autism, ADHD, or a closely related neurotype.
Demonstrate financial need. This program is intended to assist individuals and families who are below the WA state median income levels (State Median Income Chart).
Financial Aid Amount: To be discussed further with redpoint during intake.
